Venue
There will be two venues hosting Lamdamap 2009. Brunel University, Uxbridge, UK will hold the 3 day conference and exhibition and NPL, Teddington, UK will host the technical tour and conference dinner on Wednesday 1st July.
The Advanced Manufacturing & Enterprise Engineering (AMEE) department at Brunel is one of the first integrated innovative engineering groups in the United Kingdom. The department carries out world class research in advanced manufacturing technology, enterprise engineering and engineering management. The University itself is named after Isambard Kingdon Brunel, arguably one of the most famous Victorian British engineers. In adopting Brunel's name, the University seeks to emulate his qualities: ingenuity, rigour and creativity combined with practicality and thoroughness.
The conference and exhibition will take place in the Newton room North and South of the Hamilton Building at Brunel.
The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is the UK's National Measurement Institute and is a world-leading centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate measurement standards, science and technology available to man. For more than a century NPL has developed and maintained the nation's primary measurement standards. NPL will also be hosting the optional conference dinner and company tour.
