NPL tour and evening networking dinner

On Wed 1st July an optional technical tour will be held at The National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Teddington to be followed by an evening networking dinner at the Wharf Restaurant, Teddington.

NPL is the UK's National Measurement Institute and is a world-leading centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate measurement standards, science and technology available to man. For more than a century NPL has developed and maintained the nation's primary measurement standards.

Talks and lab demonstrations on the dimensional metrology facilities at NPL will include:

  • coordinate metrology
  • large scale metrology
  • laser tracer calibration,
  • engineering measurements
  • surface texture

Networking Dinner -The Wharf Restaurant, Teddington

   

The Wharf is a contemporary restaurant in Teddington offering an eclectic mix of modern European cuisine with some vibrant Asian influences. Gallery. In a stunning location overlooking the River Thames, the restaurant is housed in a coverted boathouse. An excellent three course meal from chef Ray Neve will be followed by return transport to Brunel University.

The first Wednesday of every month is Cuban Salsa Night at the Wharf, so those feeling energetic enough to work off dinner will have opportunity to join in.
